As Canada's premier educational system, the TDSB has 580 schools and over 260,000 students making it the largest public school board in Canada and the 4th largest board in North America. Over 200 nationalities and 75 languages are represented in our schools - giving our students the greatest advantage to achieve intercultural awareness and to become effective global citizens.The TDSB welcomes international students from around the world.

Our schools provide students with a wide range of world-class academic, business, technological and other specialized programs taught by highly qualified teachers. When needed, international students will receive ESL support at all levels to facilitate their rapid and smooth integration into the regular curriculum. In Ontario, there are 20 universities and 25 community colleges accepting international students for their post-secondary study.

Our teachers and counsellors are particularly sensitive to the needs of international students. We know from our experience that international students often need help adjusting to life in a new country. Our staffs speak a variety of languages, and are
always willing to offer friendly guidance on academic and personal issues. This special counselling and support service is highly appreciated by our students and their families.
