Location
The communities represented by Study Manitoba are farming communities with rich histories and deep roots. The towns provide a small town atmosphere with all the amenities of a larger center. Towns have recreational facilities such as swimming pools, golf courses, soccer fields, skating and curling rinks, museums and camping facilities. Many have wonderful activities for students to participate in such as dance lessons, Girl Guides and Boy Scouts and equestrian lessons.
Accommodation
There is no better way to learn or improve your knowledge about a culture and a language than to live with a family and experience everyday life first hand. By living with a family, students are given the opportunity to share in meals, conversation, and daily activities. Student will have a private bedroom and full board of three meals a day. Host families are motivated by the idea of making cross-cultural friendships. They do not see themselves as a hotel. Families want to get to know the students and hope to continue the friendship after the homestay. Homestay families are approved through a screening process and must meet program requirements.
