Location
Mission is one of the most beautiful and diverse communities in British Columbia. It is nestled between the Fraser River and the scenic foothills of the Coast Mountain Range, allowing for a wide variety of recreational activities throughout the year. With a wilderness playground in its backyard and the bustling urban centre of Vancouver in its front yard, this fast growing district offers a lifestyle unmatched in the Lower Mainland. International students in Mission are able to live and study in a safe community that offers much in lifestyle and education. The Mission area is made up of a variety of ethnic and religious groups. The climate is moderate year-round, with mild winter temperatures averaging 5 degrees Celsius and warm summer weather averaging 25 degrees Celsius.
Accommodation
We want our international students to enjoy their stay in Canada with their host family. Living with a Canadian family is an enriching cultural experience and an important component of our program. One of the reasons for success in the program is that English instruction received in our schools is reinforced in the home environment. Mission is small enough to provide very personal homestay services. Our staff interview, screen, and regularly monitor all our host families. Host families are encouraged to care for our international students as they would expect their own children to be cared for.
Our students have 24 hour emergency contact information, and have access to our homestay staff anytime.
