All CAPS-I schools have knowledgable and well-trained staff to assist international students and ensure they are registered for the appropriate academic and optional courses to suit their language ability, personal interests and future goals.

All schools of all grade levels offer the following standard core academic courses:

• Computer studies
• Physical Education
• Art

As students progress through the grades, they are provided with more choice of optional or specialized courses including:

• Languages
• History, Geography
• Chemistry, physics, biology
• Art, music, drama, dance, graphic design
• Business education (marketing, accounting)
• Computer programming
• Wood & metal working
• Life skills (cooking, sewing)

Courses offered will vary by school and may be dependent upon teaching resources or facilities available.

Some higher level or more specialized courses will have prerequisite (lower level) courses that a student must first successfully complete.
